How much money do you need?
By cutedoll
As everybody knows about the economic recession this year and also that it is the primary reason for lay offs, we should seriously think about few things. Everybody is trying to work nowadays from teenage kids to seniors. But are there really those many number of jobs in the market. The unemployment rate is going up .
But the fact is, because of advanced technologies in many fields and implementation of automatic tools there are less jobs available which require people. Machines are replacing humans in all the industry sectors. This will result in lesser and lesser jobs in the near future.
This is not only just limited to industries but also our homes are full of machines that we can't even think living without. Best example of advanced technology in our homes is cleaning robot which is our so called Roomba. We are trying to save our time by using these machines which is definitely good in one way. But does it really make sense to save time so that we can work more?
Of course you can't stop the progress and technology from entering in our daily lives. But now its time to think about few things- Do we really need all these machines? if machines will do all the work what are we gonna do? Are we getting more healthy or more weak? Does everybody need to do the job for living? What are we doing with the free time? Are these things doing any good for our family? When we have so many electronic tools to help us why isn't our life slowing down? What are we running after?
In my opinion, from now on only one person should work from each house. That can be anybody man or woman. Now I know this looks hard. But what picture do you like to see? One family with two jobs and another family with no job or every family with one job. This will not only be good for others but also each family will be more happy and healthy as parents will stay home to take care of kids. Or maybe if both the parents are career oriented then, both can work, but work part-time. This will save a lot of money that is spent on daycares, after school programs, food take outs, doctors visits etc.
I am sure not everybody will agree with this solution as now everybody wants to be independent. Everybody is trying to become rich and want more and more money for high life style. But is this really worth it? Is this all about only you and yourself? Are you not making your everyday life stressful just by thinking about more money. Do you think only more money can make you happy? More more how much???????????

A thought-provoking hub.
There used to be cottage industries where folks worked from home - but then of course the self-serving government has no control over your income - so better to get the people out there into jobs and dependent on credit!
Then you divide them and have them battling among themselves for chickenfeed - and they will have no idea what's really going on while you conquer them as in banking being deregulated, no balanced federal budget, no oversight over the FDA, USDA, or big pharma.
Thanks for making us think a bit today!
nice hub.. keep coming.
Great Post! The question is also, why should 2 people work. The lifestyles have gotten out of hand. When we were kids, normally it was the mom who stayed home...this was good. Today, some dads are the better ones to be mr mom. My 5 yr old grandson just started kindergarden. Do you know WHO he missed when he started school? Not his mom!
He missed his daycare mom, who "raised" him since he was 6 mos old!
good hub

A masterfully-written and presented hub, cutedoll. Honest. Voted up and all the way because you deserved it for all the hard work you put into this hub. It shows too. I am now proud of the fact that I am a follower. And I Cordially Invite YOU to check out my hubs if you need a laugh. Mine are not as good as yours, but some can make you think. Sincerely, Kenneth Avery, from a small town, Hamilton, in northwest Alabama that looks like Mayberry, the sweet little town on The Andy Griffith Show and PS/have a Great Thanksgiving. I am so glad that I met you on hubs and I will get back to reading more of your materials.

Money seems to be what everyone is chasing these days.Women lose their self respect over the dollar, what a controlling factor in our lives.
